In April 2009, Oya partnered with Laguna Seca Dermatology and Aesthetic Center, Weber and Winfield, The Oya Nail Lounge's Terri Silacci, Valerie Ramsey, Bella Splendore, Cisko Diaz, Paraiso Winery and Prime Fitness to host an Oya event called Femininity. The evening consisted of various seminars and demonstrations to provide information on skincare, fitness, nutrition, make-up, hair styling, and more to promote the sense of inner and outer beauty. We thank everyone who participated and have decided to make this event a staple event of the salon.

October 1, 2009 was our third Annual Breast Cancer Event, called "Light." Last year we raised over twelve thousand dollars for the local Breast Cancer Assistance Group: www.bcagmp.org/news.html . The fashion show and evening event was held at the beautiful Sunset Center in Carmel and honored those battling breast cancer. The day of healing was held in the salon. We thank all of the many local business that contributed to such a beautiful day.
